One of the few africans in my opinion that look better as juveniles than adults. This is also why they are bar none the most common and popular tropheus in the hobby, their juvenile colors consist of a solid black body covered in white spotting making them eye catching in pet stores and sadly often sold to beginners, as they mature the spotting fades and they develop either a white or yellow band on a black body depending on collection point with a matte blue face
