Males, on the other hand, can show a hoizontal stripe on the body. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn contrast to the other species of chocolate gourami,\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eSphaerichthys acrostoma\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eseems to be rather peaceful against conspecifics; at least they can be often observed swimming around in small groups.
