Assorted vampire crabs (Geosesarma species) are small, semi-terrestrial freshwater crabs from Indonesia that require a paludarium setup with about 80% land and 20% water.
Tank Size: A minimum 10-gallon enclosure works well for a small group, such as a trio of one male and two females.
Land-to-Water Ratio: Aim for 80% land and 20% water, featuring deep, moist substrate (like organic potting mix or coconut fiber) for burrowing and a shallow water section.
Water and Humidity: Maintain high humidity (70–80%) and water temperatures between 22–28°C (72–82°F). Use dechlorinated tap water with adequate mineral content
Diet and Care
