The Black Rose shrimp (Neocaridina davidi, frequently referred to in older or alternate taxonomy as Neocaridina denticulata or heteropoda) is a striking, selectively bred freshwater dwarf shrimp prized for its deep, inky black or dark blue-sheened shell. Reaching 1 to 1.5 inches, they are hardy, peaceful, and well-suited for planted freshwater aquariums

Tank size: 5 gallons minimum; 10+ gallons recommended for stable colonies.

Temperature: 64–78°F (17–25°C).

pH Level: 6.5 to 8.0.

Water Hardness: 6–15 GH, 3–15 KH.

Diet: Omnivorous biofilm, algae, and specialized shrimp foods or blanched vegetables
