Food and feeding
Typical of all Corydoras these fish need plenty of vegetable matter in their diet, sinking algae wafers or pellets are ideal to ensure they get their fair supply of food. False blochi catfish will also relish a treat of bloodworms.
Their natural habitat is the rivers of Colombia, South America.
False blochi catfish can only be sexed when they reach maturity; the females tend to be larger and plumper in the body shape.
Getting Corydoras delphax to spawn can be achieved by lowering the water level combined with dropping the water temperature by a couple of degrees. They will scatter their eggs on the tank glass and substrate.
Average lifespan of False blochi catfish is 3-5 years...
False blochi catfish are a shy species of Corydoras who prefer the company of their own species rather than being mixed with other species. Open swimming spaces must be provided for them as they are active at night.
