FIRE PIKE (Crenicichla sp. atapabo II)

The Atabapo II or Red Fire Pike is one of the most vibrantly colored of all Pike Cichlids, with distinctive blood red blotches on the gill covers and a solid red body coloration that can vary with temperatures, water conditions, or breeding condition. These fish are among the larger and more aggressive species of Crenicichla to tankmates should be chosen carefully even in huge aquariums.
