3D Fluval FX series mesh filter intake

A replacement Intake for all Models of FX filters.

one of the biggest issues with FX filters is sand intake, especially in tanks with Cichlids. when the sand gets in the motor, even small amounts, it can wear down the magnets over time as sand is abrasive. this intake protects the motor impeller and shaft from wear thanks to digging cichlids. This shaft comes with a clip on the back that fits the standard suction cup that comes with the FX filters perfectly.

another advantage over sponge is that it does not need to be cleaned consistently as it does not plug up like conventional sponge intakes. 

for community tanks it is also Ideal, as the conventional intake holes are large enough to pull in full grown tetras, this will prevent not only community fish from being pulled in, but more importantly shrimp and snails, including very small shrimp
