The original clips made by Hagen use plastic that is quite brittle and can easily crack leading to a leaking filter. even though the rest of the lid fastener rarely breaks the entire unit is useless, and they only sell the whole setup which are between 15-20$ a piece. These clips are made with HD PETG that can withstand immense force and are very unlikely to break.
if you have any of the FX filters, just having these on hand can save alot of stress, the standard clips can easily crack during filter maintenance, and sourcing more when you need your filter running right away can be a pain!
