The BlueLapis Tetra (Hyphessobrycon cyanotaenia), is a small species of characin native to freshwaters of South America. Growing up to 2 inches long, this is a smaller species of tetra, making it a versatile addition to a variety of community tanks. These fish have beautiful coloration, with silvery blue bodies and a striking black stripe down their side. As a schooling species, the Blue Lapis Tetra will do best in groups of 5 or more.
