MOUNTAIN GRUNTER (Hephaestus habbemai)

These unique fish are high energy and very playful, like little puppies. While being predators, they do well in communities with fish too large for them to eat.

Setup Considerations:

In the wild they come from streams and the deep pools under water falls, so they do enjoy a bit of flow.

Diet: Carnivore

Frozen/live foods are preferred, but they'll also take pellets. In the wild they mostly consume crustaceans and small fish.

Max Size: around 7-8"
