A beautiful Phenochilus that's highly sought after. The males go through an incredible transformation with age, they begin to *chip* where individual scales will begin to change to white around 4 inches and continue throughout life. These fish are known to grow slow compared to other haplochromis and never really complete until about 8 years old. So having an aged male is quite a sight to behold
