The Peru Diadema Cichlid, or Royal Acara, is a colorful, medium-sized cichlid found in the Peruvian Amazon in a wide variety of habitat types. A hardy and colorful fish, they are fairly aggressive for their small adult size and are best kept with larger cichlids or dither species like silver dollars or other large characins.
