This is also why they are bar none the most common and popular tropheus in the hobby, their juvenile colors consist of a solid black body covered in white spotting making them eye catching in pet stores and sadly often sold to beginners, as they mature the spotting fades and they develop either a white or yellow band on a black body depending on collection point with a matte blue face
